Getting started

How long does setup take?
30 minutes. We walk you through your first card design on the onboarding call, your QR codes go live the same day.
Do you integrate with my POS?
Square integration is on the Pro tier (coming soon). Toast and Clover marketplace listings ship at Pro when those certifications complete. Most cafes don't need POS integration for the wallet card experience — the staff scanner and Karam Tap stations work independently.
What if my customers don't have Apple Wallet?
Google Wallet works the same way on Android. Combined, that covers about 80% of US wallet users.

How customers use it

Will my customers actually use a wallet card?
Yes, more reliably than any app. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are pre-installed on every smartphone. 79% of Gen Z and 67% of Millennials are active mobile wallet users. They don't have to download anything; they just tap "Add to Wallet" once.
What if a customer's phone is dead?
Staff can manually award a stamp from the dashboard. We log every stamp with a timestamp so disputes are resolvable.
Can customers see their progress?
Yes — the wallet pass shows their current stamps, the reward they're earning, and the terms. It updates in real time.
How do customers install their first card?
They scan a QR code (on your counter, business card, or to-go order), tap "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet," and it installs in under five seconds. No account creation required.

Pricing

Can I cancel anytime?
Month-to-month. Cancel from your dashboard. No long-term contracts.
What happens at the end of my free trial?
Your cards keep working. Your operator dashboard goes read-only until you add a payment method. We don't surprise-bill.
Are there per-transaction fees?
No. The monthly subscription covers everything except optional add-ons (extra Karam Tap stations, marketing material packs).
Do you offer annual pricing?

Differences from competitors

How is this different from Square Loyalty?
Square Loyalty lives in Square's app, which your customers don't open. Karam Kards lives in Apple Wallet, which they open every day. Also: ours has the promo-to-loyalty conversion mechanic, vertical-specific sequence templates, NFC stations, and physical marketing materials. Square has none of these.
What if I switch from Square to Toast?
Your Karam Kards loyalty program survives the switch. Your Square Loyalty would die with the POS.
Is this better than paper punch cards?
40% of paper punch cards are lost before redemption. Wallet cards can't be lost. Push notifications bring customers back when paper can't.
How does this compare to Loopy Loyalty?
Loopy Loyalty has wallet passes. We have wallet passes plus behavioral sequences, NFC tap stations, promo-to-loyalty conversion, physical marketing materials, and POS auto-stamping. The four touchpoints working together is the product.

Privacy + security

What customer data do you collect?
Phone number and email for cardholders. Nothing else by default. Phone numbers are stored as HMAC-SHA256 fingerprints plus AES-256-GCM ciphertext — never as plaintext. Data is never sold.
Can my customers delete their data?
Yes, via a link in the wallet pass or by contacting support. Honored within 30 days.
Is my customer data separated from other businesses?
Yes — row-level security at the database level. No way for our team or another operator to access your cardholder data.
Is this HIPAA compliant?
Not in v1. We're targeting cafes and other non-regulated verticals. Medspa support with HIPAA is on our v2 roadmap.
